MASTERSKIM
An environment friendly, ultra-fine, white cement based powdered filler that dries to a matt finish. Developed as a scraper coat for plastered walls to fill in surface imperfections prior to painting. Can also be used as a crack filler. Can be used interior or exterior. Can be sanded once fully dried/cured. Take note of expiry date.
Recommended For
INTERIOR and EXTERIOR surfaces.
Used as a scraper coat over old and new cement plaster. Also suitable for skimming over defects in plasterwork and skimming after renovations to marry old and new
surfaces.
Can be used as a skim over correctly repaired, pre-painted surfaces.
Suitable to be used as a crack filler when mixed to a thicker consistency.
Not Recommended For
Not suitable as a scraper coat over cracks >0,5mm. These must be opened and treated according to standard practice before filling with Midas Masterskim.
Application
PLEASE NOTE: Correct preparation is essential. All surfaces must be sound and prepared in the recommended manner. For more information on surface preparation

Mix with clean potable water to achieve a smooth lump free paste. Allow to stand for two minutes to thicken, then remix to a smooth buttery consistency.
Lightly dampen the wall (not shiny wet) to assist with adhesion and curing. Apply Midas Masterskim using a steel trowel, spackle tool or scraper.
Allow to stiffen before wetting back with a block brush and troweling to a smooth surface.
Sand when dry if necessary (minimum of 4 hours after application depending on thickness).
100 grit or finer sandpaper recommended.
Spread Rates
On reasonable plaster ±1m²/kg as a scraper coat.
NOTE: The spread rates quoted are approximate and should only be used as a guide as the actual rate will vary depending on the condition and porosity of the substrate.
