Earthcote Sand Paint Coarse
An environmentally friendly fine textured durable exterior Pure Acrylic finishing coat that is good for concealing fine hairline cracks and poor plaster work. Ideal for exterior use.
Recommended For
EXTERIOR surfaces.
Used on new or previously painted concrete, masonry and plastered surfaces. Earthcote Sand Paint Coarse covers fine hairline cracks and minor surface imperfections.
Not Recommended For
Not suitable for use over severe hairline backs (>0.5mm).
Application
PLEASE NOTE: Correct preparation is essential. All surfaces must be sound and prepared in the recommended manner. For more information
on surface preparation contact your nearest Paintsmiths store.
Thoroughly stir and apply one coat of Midas Masonry Primer to prepared surfaces using a brush or roller, at the stipulated spread rates. Allow to
dry before overcoating.
Then apply two coats of Earthcote Sand Paint Coarse using a Hamiltons 225mm Polypile roller and a Hamiltons 50mm Utility brush (for cutting in)
at the stipulated spread rate. Allow to dry between coats.
Badly patched and inferior plaster work must be coated with one coat of Midas Cemproof Slurry (see separate data sheet for mixing ratios). Then
proceed with standard new work spec.
Spread Rates
Midas Masonry Primer: 7m²/litre
Earthcote Sand Paint Coarse: ±4m²/litre, on good quality, 1 coat plaster
